Matching Domestic Digital Companies with Silicon Valley VCs
The Ministry of Science and ICT announced on the 8th that the first half of the year Deep Connect 2023 event will be held at 11:30 AM local time in the United States on the 8th. In Korean time, it is 12:30 AM on the 9th.
Deep Connect is part of the Ministry of Science and ICT’s ‘K-Global Project.’ It is jointly hosted by the Korea Innovation Center (KIC) Silicon Valley of the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) and the Korea Venture Investment Corp. (KVIC) U.S. Center. This is the first event jointly held by the overseas centers of the two organizations. It will be held twice this year, in the first and second halves.
This event was prepared to match excellent domestic digital startups with U.S. investors. Through the local networks of KIC Silicon Valley and KVIC U.S. Center, suitable investors are connected. ▲ Discovering and nurturing domestic companies wishing to enter the U.S. market (KIC) ▲ Combining the local investor (VC) network held based on the operation of the global mother fund (KVIC) ▲ Actively supporting domestic digital companies in attracting overseas investment and entering the U.S. market.
Fifteen promising domestic digital companies, including PlanA, and nine local investors utilizing the KVIC U.S. Center’s network will participate. One-on-one matching between companies and investors will be provided to support company presentations (IR) and follow-up meetings. The second half Deep Connect will be held in September in connection with the K-Global@Silicon Valley event.

Jeon Young-su, Director of the Information and Communications Industry Policy Bureau at the Ministry of Science and ICT, said, “We expect many companies to pass Silicon Valley’s investment screening and advance deeply into the local ecosystem through this event,” and added, “We will actively provide necessary support such as pre- and post-management so that our digital companies can pioneer the U.S. market.”
