Yeosu-si and Hanwha Aerospace Sign Agreement for 'Local Residents Priority Hiring'

Agrees to Cooperate for Mutual Growth and Unemployment Resolution
On the morning of the 7th, Yeosu City in Jeollanam-do and Hanwha Aerospace Co., Ltd. signed an agreement for ‘Priority Hiring of Local Residents in the Yeosu Industrial Complex.’ With this, the number of companies participating in hiring local talent has increased to 22.
At the signing ceremony held in the mayor’s office that day, both organizations promised to actively cooperate on mutual development, resolving youth unemployment within the region, and policies to increase the population.
Yeosu City and Hanwha Aerospace Co., Ltd. signed an agreement on the morning of the 7th for the "Priority Hiring of Local Residents in Yeosu Industrial Complex."

According to the agreement, Hanwha Aerospace will establish a reasonable system for priority hiring of local residents and strive to provide various incentives to employees residing in Yeosu City.
Yeosu City will focus on creating a ‘business-friendly Yeosu City’ by promoting improvement and maintenance projects for infrastructure such as roads, rivers, and transportation facilities within the industrial complex, and will actively promote the priority hiring of local residents in the Yeosu Industrial Complex.
Kim Dae-sik, the plant manager, said, “Mutual cooperation with the local community is most important for corporate growth,” adding, “We will do our best to coexist and develop with the region.”
Jeong Gi-myeong, mayor of Yeosu City, said, “I hope this agreement will lead to expanded employment opportunities within the industrial complex for young local talents and become a virtuous cycle policy that enables them to successfully settle in the region.”
