Netflix to Produce 'Jeon,ran' Starring Park Jung-min and Kang Dong-won

Director Park Chan-wook and Writer Shin Cheol Collaborate on Screenplay
Netflix announced on the 7th that it will produce the movie "Jeon, Ran." It is a story about Jongryeo, the son of Joseon's top military family, and his servant Cheonyeong, who become enemies and reunite during a time of chaos. Jongryeo, who is appointed as the closest military aide to King Seonjo, is played by Park Jung-min, and Cheonyeong, who becomes a righteous militia member, is portrayed by Kang Dong-won. When the Imjin War breaks out, King Seonjo, abandoning the people and fleeing, is played by Cha Seung-won. The militia member Beomdong is played by Kim Shin-rok, the noble-born militia leader Kim Jaryeong by Jin Seon-kyu, and the Japanese army vanguard leader Genshin by Jung Sung-il. The film is directed by Kim Sang-man, who directed "Midnight FM." The screenplay was co-written by director Park Chan-wook, known for "Decision to Leave" and "The Handmaiden," and writer Shin Cheol.
