A total of 60 donors who took the lead in supporting low-income marginalized residents were awarded commendations

A total of 1.4 billion KRW was raised from November 15, 2022, to February 14, 2023
Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) awarded certificates of appreciation to outstanding donors of the ‘2023 Hope Ondol Warm Winter Fundraising Project’ on June 1 at the multipurpose hall on the basement level 1 of Seongbuk-gu Office.
On this day, Mayor Lee Seung-ro of Seongbuk-gu Office presented commendation plaques from the Seoul Community Chest of Korea Chairman and the Seongbuk-gu Office Mayor to a total of 60 outstanding donors who practiced warm sharing last winter. Recipients included Samsung Bon Orthopedics, Mampyeon Internal Medicine Clinic, Saejongam Saemaeul Geumgo, Donam Jeil Church, Bomun-dong Saemaeul Women’s Association, Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), Malgeunsaem Gwangcheon Church, and Seongbuk Jeil Saemaeul Geumgo.
The ‘Hope Ondol Warm Winter Fundraising Campaign’ is a winter-focused neighbor-helping fundraising project jointly conducted by the 25 autonomous districts of Seoul and the Seoul Community Chest of Korea every year from November to February of the following year, lasting three months.
Donations and goods raised by local residents or organizations are used year-round to support vulnerable residents such as basic livelihood security recipients, near-poverty class, persons with disabilities, and single-parent families.
Seongbuk-gu announced that from November 15, 2022, to February 14, 2023, a total of 1.4 billion KRW (489 million KRW in cash donations and 911 million KRW in goods) of warm-hearted contributions were collected.
