District Mayor Park Gang-su Urges Our Neighborhood Safety Keepers to Protect Storm Drains
Mapo-gu (District Mayor Park Gang-su) announced on the 5th that Our Neighborhood Safety Keepers have begun environmental maintenance activities around storm drains in the area.
At the event, about 70 safety keepers, consisting of volunteer camp activists and residents from six neighborhoods, participated in a campaign to maintain the environment around storm drains in preparation for heavy rain and typhoons, cleaning the areas surrounding storm drains in the Seongsan-dong district.
Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, stated, “This summer is expected to be hot with more rainfall, so inspecting storm drains is essential to prevent flood damage. I thank all the safety keepers who work hard for the safety of our neighborhood, and I ask you to continue these efforts with the district to ensure ongoing safety inspections rather than one-time activities.”
