Middle School Student Who Grabbed Police Officer's Neck While Breaking Up Fight...Caught in the Act
A middle school student who assaulted a police officer trying to break up a fight with his family was arrested in the act.
On the 5th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced that they arrested a 16-year-old boy, A, on charges of obstructing official duties.
At around 3 a.m. that day, A is suspected of assaulting police officers who responded to a disturbance report. The fight broke out during a scolding session by his father and older brother because A had not come home until late. At the time, A's father was also intoxicated. As the disturbance continued, neighbors called the police.
The responding officers were assaulted by A while trying to break up the fight between A, his father, and his older brother. It is reported that A grabbed the officer by the neck and pushed him. The responding officer reportedly sustained scratch wounds on his neck.
