People in their 20s use twice the data... KT launches 'Ydeom' plan
KT announced that starting from the 2nd, it will introduce ‘Ydeom,’ which provides double the basic data to 5G customers aged 29 and under.
Customers who want to enjoy the Ydeom benefits can subscribe through the customer center from that day, and applications can also be made at KT agencies. The Ydeom benefits are automatically applied when eligible customers newly subscribe to the relevant plans. Existing eligible customers will automatically receive the double data benefit. There is no need to subscribe to new plans or additional services, enhancing customer convenience.
Through the Ydeom benefits, basic data is doubled for metered plans such as the 5G Save Plan (KRW 45,000/month) up to the Simple 110GB Plan (KRW 69,000/month), and for unlimited data plans like 5G Basic (KRW 80,000/month) and above, shared data for smart devices is doubled. The newly launched mid-tier 5G plans?Simple 90GB, Simple 70GB, Simple 50GB?as well as the 5G Save Plan will also have enhanced Ydeom benefits applied.
Various promotional benefits have also been prepared. Until August 31, Ydeom customers who subscribe to the ‘TVING’ OTT service will receive a 50% discount on the TVING Basic subscription fee until the end of the year. Additionally, customers can receive a one-month benefit of 100GB on ‘Google One,’ which provides extra cloud storage for Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Photos, available for application through the Y Box app until August 31. A promotion offering double ‘Gmarket’ Smile Cash (KRW 2,000 + KRW 2,000) is also underway, with notifications sent via Y Box and text messages in June. The online shop operated through the dedicated Y Box app (Y Shop) will run a special event reflecting the Ydeom double concept, offering limited 1+1 sales of digital accessories and artist goods, along with double reward points.
The enhanced Ydeom benefits were inspired by ideas from KT’s university student marketing supporters, Y Futurists, who selected Z-generation trend keywords at the Y Trend Conference. Considering the growing demand for data and smart device usage, such as ‘Zero-Calorie Campus’ (digitalized university life) and ‘Taeops-sa’ (people without tablets), the benefits were developed accordingly.
