The Sky Love Scholarship Foundation was established in 2010 to support the children of Air Force pilots who died in training so that they can grow up with pride and integrity.
Chairman Lee Joong-geun, a former Air Force member, was once mentioned as being disqualified from the Aviation Soldier School in 1961 due to his tall stature (186cm). This was due to the modest social atmosphere at the time. During his 5 years and 6 months of military service, he always thought of repaying the cost of the two meals he was provided each time and sought to contribute to the Air Force whenever possible.
He has been donating to the Air Force Sky Love Scholarship Foundation since 2018 and serves as the president of the Air Force reserve group Rokapis, playing a role as a bridge between reservists and active-duty personnel while supporting the Air Force.
Chairman Lee Hee-beom said, "On the occasion of the Month of Patriots and Veterans, I remember the sacrifices of the fallen pilots who gave their lives for the country, and I hope that their children grow into outstanding talents with pride in their patriotic spirit."
Air Force Chief of Staff Jung Sang-hwa expressed, "We sincerely thank Chairman Lee Joong-geun and Booyoung Group for their generous donation," adding, "We will make good use of the scholarship funds to honor the chairman’s spirit of giving."
