According to Kyodo News on the same day, the Self-Defense Force escort ship "Hamagiri" arrived at Busan Port to participate in the multinational maritime interdiction exercise "Eastern Endeavor 23," hosted by South Korea on the 31st in international waters southeast of Jeju Island.
