Gwangjin-gu Accepts Applications for Tree Pest and Disease Control Support Project Around Living Areas Until October
Targets pests and diseases occurring in detached and multi-family housing, facilities for the elderly and children, and educational research facilities
Professional tree diagnosis institution, Type 1 Tree Hospital, conducts damage diagnosis and implements accurate and safe pest control work
Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) supports rapid control of sudden pests and diseases occurring in trees around residents' living areas.
Since last year, the district has been conducting the 'Tree Pest and Disease Control Support Project' for residents who find it difficult to carry out pest control on their own. The project aims to provide residents with a pleasant green environment by timely controlling tree pests and diseases and preventing their spread.
The professional tree diagnosis institution, 'Type 1 Tree Hospital,' diagnoses tree damage and prescribes appropriate pesticides to safely carry out pest control work.
The support targets tree pests and diseases occurring in ▲detached and multi-family housing (excluding apartments) ▲facilities for the elderly and children (daycare centers, senior centers) ▲educational research facilities (kindergartens, elementary, middle, and high schools). Household pests such as mosquitoes and ticks are excluded from the control targets.
Residents who wish to apply can contact the Gwangjin-gu Office Park and Greenery Division by October.
Last year, through the Tree Pest and Disease Control Support Project, Gwangjin-gu treated a total of 401 large trees and 935㎡ of shrubs at 113 locations.
