Songpa Police Station Holds Community Meeting to Establish Social Safety Infrastructure
Joint Civil-Police Patrol Conducted
The Songpa Police Station in Seoul announced on the 26th that it held a meeting with local residents on the 25th to discuss the security status of Songpa-gu and conducted joint patrols with civilians and police officers.
About 60 members of the Volunteer Crime Prevention Unit and around 10 members of the Police Development Council attended the meeting. The main topics addressed during the event included drug issues, prevention of thefts at unmanned stores, and fatal accidents caused by drunk driving in school zones.
After the meeting, they patrolled vulnerable areas in the district, inspected crime prevention facilities, attached theft prevention stickers to unmanned stores in front of schools, and installed smart sensors on cash registers. They also visited traditional markets and food alleyways to conduct drug crime prevention campaigns and observed drunk driving enforcement sites to raise awareness, concluding the event.
