Bucheon City Celebrates 50th Anniversary of City Status with 'Bucheon 8 Views' Selection Citizen Survey
Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province will conduct a citizen survey from the 26th of this month to the 16th of next month to select the Bucheon 8 Scenic Spots for the first time since its elevation to city status.
Last month, the city recommended and discovered 29 candidate sites for the Bucheon 8 Scenic Spots, and through the evaluation by the selection review panel, the top 14 sites were chosen as the final candidates.
The final candidates include Bucheon Dullegil, Baekmansongi Rose Garden, Municipal Museum, Art Bunker B39, Bucheon Art Center, Natural Ecology Park, Astronomy Science Museum, Hwal Museum, Sangdong Lake Park, Sosae Village, Yeokgok Sangsang Market, Wonmisan Wonmijeong, Jindallae Hill, and the Korea Manhwa Museum.
These sites encompass Bucheon’s representative natural landscapes and symbolic, distinctive tourist attractions.
This survey is the final stage to select the top 8 sites and will be conducted through the 'Bucheon City KakaoTalk Channel.' The city plans extensive promotion targeting not only Bucheon citizens but also visitors to the city’s official website to gather a wide range of public opinions.
The city plans to announce the Bucheon 8 Scenic Spots in July to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its elevation to city status and intends to accelerate dynamic tourism marketing to establish itself as a new attractive tourist city.
