Hyundai Motor Group Extends World Cup Sponsorship... Until 2030
Continued Since 1999
Hyundai Motor Group announced on the 26th that it will participate as the official mobility partner in all tournaments organized by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) until 2030. With this sponsorship extension, the partnership with FIFA has been extended to 31 years.
On the 25th (local time), the company held a signing ceremony to extend the partnership until the 2030 FIFA World Cup at FIFA headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland, attended by Kim Geol, Head of Hyundai Motor Group's Strategic Planning Office, Gianni Infantino, FIFA President, and others.

With this sponsorship extension, Hyundai Motor Group will maintain its highest-grade FIFA official partner status. For eight years, including the 2023 Australia-New Zealand Women's World Cup held in July, the 2026 North American World Cup, and the 2030 World Cup, Hyundai will support tournament vehicles as the official mobility partner for all FIFA-organized events.
The sponsorship scope has also expanded beyond automobiles to cover the entire mobility sector, including autonomous driving, robotics, and Urban Air Mobility (UAM). Accordingly, robotics subsidiary Boston Dynamics and UAM independent corporation Supernal will also participate in this partnership.
Through the World Cup, Hyundai Motor Group aims to lead the transition from an automobile manufacturer to a smart mobility solutions company. This reflects the will of Chung Eui-sun, Chairman of Hyundai Motor Group. He has often stated, “The fundamental mission pursued by Hyundai Motor Group is to realize humanity's dream of ‘safe and free movement and peaceful life,’” seeking to redefine the mobility sector.
