A Male Teacher in His 30s Molested Six Female Middle School Students, Touching Their Bodies and Saying "Let's Sleep at My House"
A physical education teacher at a middle school in Gimcheon, Gyeongbuk, has been brought to trial on charges of sexually assaulting six female students at the same school.
According to the legal community on the 25th, the Criminal Division 1 of the Gimcheon Branch of Daegu District Court (Chief Judge Choi Yeon-mi) recently held the first sentencing hearing for teacher A (35), who was indicted on charges including violation of the Act on the Protection of Children and Juveniles from Sexual Abuse.
Teacher A is accused of calling a 14-year-old second-year middle school student, A, to the gymnasium last year while working as a contract physical education teacher at a middle school in Gimcheon, and sexually assaulting her by touching her genitals, as well as fondling the waists, shoulders, armpits, arms, and thighs of a total of six female students.
It was also revealed that Teacher A made sexually harassing remarks to the students, such as "You would look good in a swimsuit," "Come to my house to eat ramen and sleep together," and "Don't date a man who touches the inside of your arm. It feels similar to having your chest touched."
In court, Teacher A denied all charges and requested to see the statements of the victims. The court approved this request to ensure Teacher A's right to defense.
