Popular Summer Course for 'Gwangyang Weekend Trip' with Namdo Hanbaki

Gwangyang City in Jeollanam-do announced that the Namdo Hanbaki summer course, "Gwangyang Weekend Trip," is gaining popularity as another way to escape the midsummer sun.

The Namdo Hanbaki summer course, starting in June, is titled "A Happy Day Pleasing to the Eyes, Gwangyang Weekend Trip," and ticket reservations have been actively underway even before its launch.

This summer course offers a trip to enjoy high-quality exhibitions in indoor cultural spaces such as Gwangyang Art Warehouse, and to recharge your senses with cool fountains and fresh phytoncides at places like Seocheon Fountain and Baegunsan Natural Recreation Forest.

The Gwangyang Weekend Trip departs every Sunday from Gwangju U-Square (9:20 AM), stops by Gwangju Songjeong Station (9:50 AM), and visits the Jeonnam Provincial Museum of Art and Gwangyang Art Warehouse in the original downtown area of Gwangyang.

After enjoying lunch at the Gwangyang Bulgogi Specialty Street, the tour continues to Seocheon Rainbow Fountain and Baegunsan Natural Recreation Forest, returning to Songjeong Station (6:05 PM) and U-Square (6:30 PM) in a romantic course.

Baegunsan Natural Recreation Forest is a complex forest cultural space featuring a dense primeval forest, a plant ecology forest, a healing forest, and an inspiring bookstore, serving as a wellness space that heals the mind and body tired from heat and daily life.

The plant ecology forest is a walking trail where various plants can be admired, equipped with heatwave and fine dust reduction devices to cool down the heat. The healing forest offers a variety of indoor and outdoor programs such as wind bathing, foot bathing, meditation, and yoga, making it a notable resting point for busy modern people.

The Gwangyang Weekend Trip, operated by a premium bus, costs 24,900 KRW (admission fees to tourist sites, travel insurance, and meals are separate) and can be booked both online and offline.
