KGC Ginseng Corporation Donates 200 Million KRW for Children's Environmental Education
'The Earth Drawn by Hongi' Program Offered
KGC Ginseng Corporation announced on the 25th that it has donated 200 million KRW to Korea World Vision for children's environmental education.
Since 2021, KGC Ginseng Corporation has been supporting children's environmental education by providing an interactive environmental education program called "Hong-i's Green Earth" to elementary schools every year, encouraging children to participate in environmental protection activities.
The Hong-i's Green Earth program targets lower-grade elementary students (grades 1 to 3) nationwide, providing each school with audiovisual materials and hands-on resources for environmental protection. Through this, it raises awareness among future generations about the importance of the environment and offers valuable experiences for direct participation in environmental protection.
The program also provides guides for conducting environmental education related to climate crises such as global warming and greenhouse gases. Using characters that children like, it delivers audiovisual educational materials that show the painful state of the Earth 50 years from now. To ensure that school education continues at home, environmental protection kits such as the Hong-i Green Garden and Hong-i Green Toothbrush are also provided.
