Nuriho 3rd Launch Scheduled for 6:24 PM as Planned
Confirmed by the Ministry of Science and ICT on the afternoon of the 24th
The Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Aerospace Research Institute have confirmed that the third launch of Nuriho will proceed as scheduled today (24th) at 6:24 PM.
On this day, the Ministry of Science and ICT held the Nuriho 3rd Launch Management Committee meeting in the afternoon and decided accordingly after confirming that the preparation work is progressing smoothly and checking the local weather conditions.
Oh Tae-seok, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Science and ICT, stated, "The weather conditions at the Naro Space Center confirmed so far today have been analyzed to meet the launch criteria for Nuriho," and added, "We have decided to proceed with the main procedure of fueling (fuel and oxidizer) for the Nuriho launch as planned."
Fueling of Nuriho is expected to be completed around 5:10 PM, and oxidizer fueling around 5:40 PM.
The committee comprehensively reviewed the technical preparation status for the Nuriho launch, weather conditions, and the possibility of collision with space objects, and finally decided to proceed with the operation procedures aiming for a launch at 6:24 PM. Automatic launch operation will begin 10 minutes before launch, and if any abnormality is detected during automatic operation, the launch will be automatically aborted.
