Gwangjin-gu Operates Night Trekking at Achasan
Second Living Sports Program for Youth and Office Workers Following Gwangjin Running Crew
Recruiting 100 Participants on a First-Come, First-Served Basis from May 25 to 31... Apply on Gwangjin-gu Office Website
Offers a Unique Experience of Exercising and Healing Accompanied by Professional Trekking Leaders and Photographers
Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) is operating its second program for youth and office workers, "Achasan Night Trekking," following the Gwangjin Running Crew.
"Achasan Night Trekking" is a sports program where 20 Gwangjin residents enjoy night trekking together at Achasan, a famous night view spot in Gwangjin-gu. A professional trekking leader accompanies the group to teach basic hiking knowledge and posture, while a professional photographer takes memorable photos with the beautiful night scenery as the backdrop.
The district is the first among Seoul's autonomous districts to promote a trekking program for residents, providing a unique physical activity that allows young people tired of daily life to feel the charm of nature and gain psychological relaxation.
The program runs five times every Friday from 7 PM to 9 PM between June 2 and 30. The course is a 3.8 km round trip starting from Gwangnaru Station, passing through Achasan Ecological Park and Achasan Sunrise Park. The gentle slopes and low hills make it easy and comfortable for beginners to enjoy night trekking.
Any Gwangjin resident can participate. Those interested can apply from May 25 to 31 through the online registration page on the Gwangjin-gu Office website. Applications are accepted simultaneously for sessions 1 to 5, with 20 participants per session on a first-come, first-served basis, so early application is recommended. The previously operated Gwangjin Running Crew program was fully booked within five minutes of opening registration.
