According to the county on the 23rd, this event was part of the "2023 Specialized Market First Step Development Project," selected last year through a Small and Medium Business Administration public contest. The event was organized by the merchants' association and included a raffle for those who purchased over 30,000 won on the day, children's shopping bag making, face painting, and shopping experience activities.
In particular, Governor Kim San and the children visited the fish and vegetable sections within the Muan Traditional Market to check prices by category. The children learned economic concepts by using Onnuri gift certificates themselves to purchase goods frugally.
The merchants' association plans to hold five more event sessions in the future and will invite Nongsuro, the Muan-gun promotional ambassador, for a surprise sales event with a YouTuber.
Baek Chang-seong, head of the Regional Economy Division, said, "We hope that families visiting the traditional market will recognize it as a familiar space where they can create enjoyable memories, and we ask for many visits."
