Handling Difficult Emergency Situations with 'Visible 112'
On the 22nd, the Gwangju Metropolitan Police Agency urged the active use of 'Visible 112' in emergency situations where speaking is difficult.
'Visible 112' helps ensure appropriate response when the caller does not know their location or is unable to speak.
It works by sending the caller a text message with an internet (URL) address to identify the location of the report. The on-site video captured by the mobile phone is also transmitted to the control room.
So far, 661 reports have been received in the Gwangju area.
