On the 21st, Seong Yujin defeated Park Hyunkyung by 2 holes in the final of the Doosan Match Play Championship (total prize money of 900 million won), part of the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, held at Radena Golf Club in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province (par 72, 6,350 yards). She surged to the top with a 7-match winning streak throughout the tournament, including three consecutive group stage matches. This marks her second career victory, one year after her first win at the Lotte Open in June last year, with a winner's prize of 225 million won.
On the morning of the final day, Seong Yujin crushed defending champion Hong Jungmin by 4 holes in the semifinals, then immediately carried the momentum into the final by winning holes 2 through 4. Leading by 2 holes, she extended her lead with consecutive birdies on holes 12 and 13, distancing herself from Park Hyunkyung's pursuit. Seong Yujin secured the championship with a halved 15th hole (par 4), with three holes remaining.
