At the ceremony, 11 individuals and 5 organizations were commended for supporting the settlement of foreigners in Korea and contributing to social integration. The Presidential Citation in the individual category was awarded to Kim Churi, founder of Jungang Christian Kindergarten, who arrived in Korea in 1959 and worked for early childhood and women's education and welfare for marginalized groups, and Han Mi-young, director of the Dongdaemun-gu Family Center, who has continued activities supporting foreigner independence and multicultural family settlement. In the organization category, the Presidential Citation was awarded to the Siheung City Foreigners Welfare Center.
