Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) is preventing safety accidents by installing smart sensors based on intelligent Internet of Things (AIoT) at public construction sites.
Recently, safety accidents including casualties caused by ground subsidence have been increasing at various construction sites across the country.
To proactively respond to this, Geumcheon-gu discovered the ‘AIoT-Based Ground Subsidence Measurement and Monitoring System Construction’ project by Geost for the ‘2022 Smart City Next Innovation Technology Demonstration Project’ contest hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, participated in the contest, and was selected as a demand institution to promote the pilot project.
The smart sensors were installed at two new construction sites: Geumha Village Eco Energy Center (14 units) in Doksan-dong and Usi Market Green Butcher Shop (9 units) in Doksan-dong.
The smart sensors measure and collect real-time data on changes in the ground condition around the construction sites. Geumcheon-gu and Geost plan to verify a series of processes through this pilot project, including visualizing the collected data and implementing a 3D ground subsidence map.
