Inserting Wire Through Door Crack with a 'Click'... Spreading Fear Among Women
Pulling a door handle with a noose-shaped wire
Police collecting fingerprints from the front door and tracking suspects
A suspicious man allegedly tried to break into a woman’s home where she lives alone using a wire, and the claim is spreading online along with a video.
On the 17th, multiple online communities posted a video titled “I’m so creeped out right now.” The video was taken inside the house, focusing on the door lock of the front door, and what was hanging on the doorknob was none other than a wire.
An unidentified man pushes a noose-shaped wire through the gap of the front door from outside. Then, after hooking the wire onto the doorknob, he pulls down hard as if trying to open the door. When the noose slipped off, he swung the wire back and forth to hook it onto the doorknob again.
The poster, A, explained the chaotic situation at the time, saying, “It happened at 4 p.m. I’m shaking right now. I called the police first, and the person (outside) left.” A said, “I held the wire so the man outside couldn’t open the door and asked, ‘Who are you?’ He said he was from a real estate agency,” adding, “When I said, ‘You should have called,’ he replied, ‘I rang the bell.’”
He said, “The real estate agency I had a contract with has closed down, so it’s not around anymore,” and added, “While I was writing the police statement, a neighbor came out and said, ‘A man tried to call the intercom at our place, but I didn’t open the door because it seemed suspicious.’ It’s so scary.”
After about two minutes of standoff, the man left the wire behind and ran away, and A immediately reported him to the police. The police who arrived took the wire as evidence, and the forensic team also came to collect fingerprints and DNA.
A said, “The case will be handled by the violent crimes unit. They seem to have checked the man’s appearance by reviewing the CCTV,” adding, “The police were wide-eyed when they saw this video. Everyone be careful. This is my first time experiencing something like this, and it’s really scary.”
He also said, “The police told me not to worry too much because the door won’t open easily with something like that (wire). It takes a long time to open the door lock, and if you report it immediately, they will respond urgently,” and added, “I need to install more locks at home.”
