Out of 59 applicants through last month's preliminary round, a total of 24 teams were selected for the finals, competing on the main stage on the 19th
In addition to participant performances, congratulatory performances including a musical gala show and bubble show by Seoul Performing Arts High School student performance teams
Jongno-gu (Mayor Jeong Munheon) will hold the 'Jongno Children's Children's Song Festival' at 2 p.m. on the 19th at the Changsin Art Hall in the Jongno-gu Community Center (7-5 Jibong-ro 5-gil).
Now in its 24th year, this event is held to provide Jongno children with an opportunity to freely express their dreams and talents outside the classroom and to create a chance for local residents to unite through children's songs.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the event was not held in 2020, and in 2021 and 2022 it was conducted non-face-to-face via live broadcast on Jongno TV. This year, the event has resumed in-person.
Earlier in April, through the preliminary round, a total of 24 teams (21 solo teams, 3 group teams) were selected from 59 applicants to advance to the finals. These teams will take the main stage on the 19th to showcase the skills they have honed and engage in beautiful competition.
In addition to the participants, congratulatory performances including a musical gala show and a bubble show that the whole family can enjoy will be presented by student performance teams from Seoul Performing Arts High School.
For fair judging on the day, a judging panel composed of officials from the Korea Children's Song Culture Association and others will evaluate pitch, rhythm, vocal ability, and expressiveness to determine the rankings.
Awards will be given in the solo and group participation categories, ranging from the highest prize, the Grand Prize, followed by Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Encouragement Awards. Additionally, to promote a festival that participants and audiences can enjoy together, a Popularity Award will be given based on on-site text voting.
