On the previous day, Kyowon Group signed a 'Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the Establishment of a Metaverse-based Education Platform' with Hanwha Systems at the Hanwha Building in Jung-gu, Seoul. Through this agreement, the two companies plan to collaborate in various areas, including building an education-specialized metaverse platform, expanding metaverse platform services, and discovering new business models based on the metaverse.
Through this MOU, Kyowon Group plans to showcase its diverse edutech content on 'WeCanVerse,' a metaverse education platform jointly developed by Hanwha Systems and EBS. For WeCanVerse users, Kyowon Group will provide differentiated edutech content and services such as AI learning tailored to individual student difficulty levels, and will actively engage in technological cooperation to support this.
WeCanVerse is a metaverse-based public education platform jointly developed by Hanwha Systems and EBS. It is the first 3D-based educational metaverse platform in Korea that offers experiential learning content linked to the elementary and secondary public education curriculum.
As the first collaborative task, a proof of concept (PoC) will be conducted to provide Kyowon's smart English learning program, 'Doyosae English,' on the EBS WeCanVerse platform. Subsequently, plans include expanding collaboration opportunities continuously, such as activating WeCanVerse using Kyowon's diverse content and enabling interoperability between metaverse platforms.
