Education Cost 0 Won... Gyeongnam Province to Train Over 300 Smart Factory Talents
Recruitment of Trainees for ICT Convergence and IT Specialist Training Program
Gyeongsangnam-do is recruiting trainees for the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Convergence Workforce Training Program and the Information Technology (IT) Expert Workforce Training Program.
On the 16th, Gyeongnam Province announced that the training will be conducted to cultivate mid- to advanced-level talents who can be immediately deployed on-site in response to the spread and expansion of smart factories.
According to the province, this company demand-tailored training aimed at creating youth jobs and resolving corporate labor shortages is organized by Gyeongnam Technopark.
It will be commissioned and conducted at five universities in the province: National Changwon University, Changshin University, Youngsan University, Dongwon Institute of Science and Technology, and Gyeongsang National University.
The recruitment target is 330 university graduates or expected graduates residing in the province who are unemployed.
The tuition, including textbooks, is 100% free, and customized employment programs are operated for each training course, with employment guidance and information provided for three years after the training ends.
The ICT Convergence Workforce Training Program will recruit more than 70 trainees per university at four universities in the province.
The Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation of Changwon University will provide 70 hours each of ▲Manufacturing Big Data Beginner and Intermediate Courses ▲3D Design Technology and Digital Twin Beginner and Intermediate Courses.
The Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation of Changshin University will operate 80 hours each of ▲Smart Factory Manufacturing Data Analysis Beginner Course ▲Smart Factory Equipment Control Software Development Intermediate Course.
The Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation of Youngsan University will conduct 70 hours each of ▲Smart Factory Construction Beginner Course ▲Smart Factory Control Intermediate Course ▲Smart Factory Software Intermediate and Advanced Courses.
The Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation of Dongwon Institute of Science and Technology will offer 80 hours each of ▲Smart Factory Operation Manager Beginner Course ▲Basic C Language Education and Practical Programming Intermediate Course.
The IT Expert Workforce Training Program plans to recruit 50 trainees at the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation of Gyeongsang National University and will offer ▲Basic IT Education Course ▲IT and Smart Factory Specialized Education Course, each lasting 400 hours.

Ryu Myeong-hyun, Director of the Industrial and Trade Bureau of the province, said, “Through this training program, we expect to cultivate ICT convergence and software experts needed for changes in the manufacturing environment, contributing to strengthening the competitiveness of the manufacturing industry and creating jobs in the Gyeongnam region.”
