Gyeonggawon to Host 'Pet Fashion Show' Featuring Textile Scraps on the 19th
The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency is partnering with Pocheon City to hold the 'Textile Scrap Fabric Upcycling Pet Fashion Show' on the 19th at the Kintex Exhibition Center 2 in Ilsan.
This event is part of the 'Textile Scrap Fabric Upcycling Project.'
The project aims to solve the issue of disposing of scrap fabrics from textile companies and reduce their environmental costs. Over the past two years, approximately 6.5 tons of waste have been recycled, saving about 15 million KRW in waste disposal costs.
The pet fashion show will be held as an event within 'MEGA ZOO,' the largest pet industry exhibition in Korea. The agency will set up and operate an upcycling promotion booth inside the exhibition hall, showcasing around 20 types of upcycled products made from scrap fabrics.
For the product exhibition, about 10 companies in Pocheon City will develop and provide various items such as pet furniture, bags, accessories, and speakers made from scrap fabrics.
