Jinju City, Additional Recruitment of Companies for the 'Small and Medium Enterprise Work Environment Improvement Project'
Improving Corporate Work Environments and Enhancing Employee Welfare
Jinju City in Gyeongnam Province will additionally recruit companies to participate in the ‘Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Workplace Environment Improvement Project’ from the 16th to the 26th to enhance worker welfare through improving workplace environments.
The city selected 17 companies last March, but due to changes in the project budget and some companies withdrawing from the project, additional recruitment is being conducted for the remaining budget balance.
The eligible participants are manufacturing companies that have been operating for more than one year after registering their factories within the jurisdiction. Selection will be made through on-site inspections and deliberations by a review committee. However, this year, to support small-scale manufacturers, companies without mandatory factory registration can apply if the building use on the building register is listed as ‘factory’ or ‘manufacturing facility’.
The detailed selection criteria include the factory’s aging status, the company’s employment rate, the feasibility of the business plan, and efforts in research and technology.
The project fields consist of two areas: workplace environment improvement and restoration space improvement. ▲The workplace environment improvement project involves renovation or repair of workspaces (floors, ceilings, walls, windows, etc.), and ▲the restoration space improvement project involves new construction or renovation of dormitories, cafeterias, restrooms, shower rooms, and break areas. Selected companies can receive support covering 50% of the project cost, up to a maximum of 20 million KRW.
Companies wishing to participate can check the procedures and required documents on the city hall website’s public notice section. For further inquiries, they can contact the Corporate Commerce Division’s Corporate Policy Team for guidance.
