Currently, the consular officer in charge of the jurisdiction is providing necessary consular assistance."
It has not yet been confirmed whether Son Jun-ho is being questioned as a witness or as a suspect. However, Chinese media report that it is highly likely that Son Jun-ho and other Shandong Taishan players are being investigated in connection with allegations of match-fixing and other misconduct involving their team coach Hao Wei.
