Korea Forest Welfare Institute Conducts Sample Survey on 'Forest Recreation and Welfare Activities'
The Korea Forest Welfare Institute announced on the 15th that it will conduct the ‘2023 Forest Recreation and Welfare Activities’ survey targeting 5,000 households nationwide from the 15th of this month to the 23rd of next month.
The survey is conducted annually to collect data on 60 items including the public’s experience with forest recreation and welfare activities, purposes of use, and satisfaction after use, with the aim of utilizing it as basic data for forecasting demand for forest welfare services and policy formulation.
The data collected in the survey will be strictly protected in accordance with Article 33 of the Statistics Act on confidentiality, ensuring it is not used for purposes other than statistical compilation. The survey results are scheduled to be announced in November.

Nam Tae-heon, President of the Korea Forest Welfare Institute, stated, “The forest recreation and welfare activities survey is a key statistic targeting the public for the establishment of forest welfare policies,” and added, “The Korea Forest Welfare Institute will strive to ensure that the voices of the people are reflected in on-site forest policies based on the statistical survey.”
