Lee Hak-su, Jeongeup Mayor, Urges Promotion of Public App 'WEMAKEPRICE O' at Executive Meeting
Lee Hak-su, former mayor of Jeongeup City, Jeollabuk-do, urged active promotion of the public delivery app ‘WEMAKEPRICE O’ and encouraged many citizens to use it.
On the 15th, Mayor Lee presided over a video executive meeting and said, “Make sure that ‘WEMAKEPRICE O,’ a public delivery app led by the private sector and supported by Jeongeup City, can contribute to revitalizing the local economy by alleviating the payment commission burden on small business owners.”
‘WEMAKEPRICE O,’ which has been operating since the 1st of this month, charges a franchise intermediary commission rate of 2%, which is cheaper than private delivery apps ranging from 6% to 15%, and allows stores to join without any registration fee.
There is also the advantage that no payment commission is charged when using local love gift certificates at franchise stores.
In particular, consumers can receive a 10% discount benefit when linking Jeongeup Love Gift Certificates as a payment method.
During this month, first-time customers are offered a 5,000 KRW discount coupon, and second-time buyers receive a 4,000 KRW refund benefit. Additionally, delivery fees are waived for weekend orders.
Mayor Lee reiterated the importance of actively informing citizens about these advantages to increase app usage among many citizens and franchise participation by local businesses, so that WEMAKEPRICE O can open the way to revitalizing the stagnant local economy.
He also requested to promote practical labor assistance to farms, as the shortage of farm labor may worsen with the start of the full-scale farming season.
Furthermore, he emphasized thorough management of drainage and sewage systems and meticulous maintenance of areas vulnerable to heavy rain, urging all-out efforts for preemptive measures before the rainy season begins.
