Realmeter "President Yoon recovers to mid-30% range... 3 consecutive weeks of increase"

President Yoon Suk-yeol's approval rating for his administration has risen for three consecutive weeks, recovering to the mid-30% range.
According to the regular public opinion poll released on the 15th by the polling agency Realmeter (conducted over five days from the 8th to the 12th nationwide among 2,503 adults aged 18 and over using an ARS automated response method, commissioned by Media Tribune), President Yoon's approval rating increased by 2.2 percentage points from the previous week's survey to 36.8%. Negative evaluations stating that the administration is performing poorly dropped by 1.7 percentage points to 60.8%.
President Yoon's approval rating rebounded after recording 32.6% in the third week of April, rising to 34.5% in the fourth week of April, 34.6% in the first week of May, and 36.8% in the second week of May, showing an upward trend for three consecutive weeks.
By region, the approval rating notably increased in Gwangju-Jeolla (up 9.9 percentage points, from 14.8% to 24.7%) and Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam (up 4.2 percentage points, from 37.4% to 41.6%). By age group, approval rose among those in their 30s (up 6.0 percentage points, from 26.1% to 32.1%) and 50s (up 4.3 percentage points, from 29.6% to 33.9%).
Regarding party support, the Democratic Party of Korea rose by 1.5 percentage points from the previous week to 47.0%. The People Power Party also increased by 1.4 percentage points to 36.3%. With both major parties' support rates rising, the gap between them remained largely unchanged at 10.7 percentage points compared to 10.6 percentage points the previous week.
The Democratic Party's support increased notably in Daejeon-Sejong-Chungcheong (up 11.9 percentage points, from 41.9% to 53.8%), Daegu-Gyeongbuk (up 11.1 percentage points, from 24.4% to 35.5%), and among those in their 20s (up 5.1 percentage points, from 42.8% to 47.9%). The People Power Party saw significant gains in Gwangju-Jeolla (up 9.1 percentage points, from 14.6% to 23.7%) and Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam (up 5.1 percentage points, from 35.8% to 40.9%).
