GS Retail Partners with Areumdawoon Store to Launch ESG Campaign
From the 15th of this month to the 16th of next month
GS Retail announced on the 15th that it will collaborate with Areumdawoon Gage to carry out ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) activities.

View original imageThe upcycling campaign "Saving the Earth with Eco-friendliness" (Chingu), conducted by GS Retail and Areumdawoon Gage since 2021, is an eco-friendly campaign that collects donated old clothes and creates upcycled products using them. This year's campaign focuses on raising awareness about the ecological crisis caused by climate change and proposes ways to reduce the carbon footprint on Earth. The campaign will run from the 15th of this month until the 16th of next month.
Customers who wish to participate in the Chingu campaign can visit GS25 convenience stores and donate old clothes via half-price courier service. Donations can include clothing such as cotton T-shirts, dress shirts, blouses, jeans, as well as reusable accessories like bags, wallets, and shoes. Each customer who donates will receive a GS25 coupon worth 3,000 KRW per box. The donated items will be transformed into upcycling environmental education kits and distributed to about 1,000 children from vulnerable groups. The half-price courier fee is borne by the participants.
