Jungnang-gu to Host ‘2023 Seoul Rose Festival’ Main Event ‘Grand Rose Festival’ from 19th to 21st

‘Little Rose Festival’ Featuring Photo Zones, Pop-up Gardens, and Sculpture Exhibitions Held Ahead of Main Event
The most beautiful festival in Seoul, the ‘2023 Seoul Rose Festival,’ will grandly open on the 19th with the main event, the ‘Grand Rose Festival.’ From the 19th to the 21st, visitors can experience everything about roses at the ‘Rose Exhibition Hall,’ enjoy the dazzling music at the ‘Rose Concert’ and the ‘Rose & Music Festival,’ enriching the festival atmosphere.
On the first day, the 19th, a roughly 1.5 km-long ‘Rose Parade’ will mark the spectacular start of the festival. Residents of Jungnang-gu will directly participate in the parade, adding the meaning of a ‘festival created and enjoyed together by the community.’ Following this, popular singers such as Jang Yoon-jung and Kim Na-hee will perform at the ‘Rose Concert,’ further elevating the festival mood.
On the 20th, a variety of musical performances will delight the audience’s ears. Beautiful melodies from the Jungnang-gu Youth Orchestra, performances by indie bands, and a Bulgarian folk performance troupe will take place on two stages: the Surimdae Rose Garden stage and the Rose Music Garden stage. Additionally, the ‘Rose & Music Festival,’ featuring famous singers like Lyn, Monni, and Park Bo-ram, will add to the excitement.
On the final day, the 21st, the ‘Rose Song Festival’ will be held, featuring talented residents of Jungnang-gu. ‘Our Neighborhood Song Kings,’ who have advanced through preliminary rounds by district, will showcase their skills and talents to the fullest.
Moreover, during the ‘Grand Rose Festival,’ visitors can also explore the ‘Rose Exhibition Hall,’ which encompasses everything about roses. The exhibition offers a diverse look at the types and history of Korean roses, various roses from around the world, wild roses, and floral artists’ rose works.
Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “Ten million blooming roses will beautifully adorn Jungnang-gu throughout May,” and added, “We hope visitors enjoy the queen of flowers, the rose, and create joyful memories at the Seoul Rose Festival returning after four years.”

Before the main event period, from the 13th, the district has been operating the ‘Little Rose Festival,’ which includes photo zones, pop-up gardens decorated by residents, and sculpture exhibitions to create lasting memories with roses. The Little Rose Festival will continue until the last day of the festival. In the latter part of the festival, on the 26th and 27th, the ‘Gyeomjae Dance Festival’ and ‘Rose Plogging’ will be held as part of the ‘Gyeomjae Rose Festival.’
