Kim Byung-min, a Supreme Council Member of the People Power Party, called for the immediate resignation of Kim Nam-guk, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, who is embroiled in a multi-billion won cryptocurrency scandal, saying he is "essentially a cryptocurrency speculator."
On the 12th, Kim Byung-min stated through his social media (SNS), "Kim Nam-guk, whose main identity is a cryptocurrency speculator and whose role as a member of the National Assembly is merely a secondary character, should resign immediately."

The term 'secondary character' (bukae) originates from online gaming and refers to a character operated as a side job rather than the main job. Kim Byung-min referred to reports that Kim Nam-guk engaged in cryptocurrency speculation even during his time on the National Assembly standing committee, saying, "Seeing that he could not disclose his cryptocurrency transaction history so far, I thought there must have been reasons to hide it. But looking at the reported estimated transaction details and timing, wasn't Kim Nam-guk's role as a member of the National Assembly just a side job supporting his main job as a cryptocurrency speculator?"
He continued, "I urge the Democratic Party to immediately disband the fact-finding committee, which is just a stalling tactic, and clearly state their position on Kim Nam-guk. The Democratic Party's Student Committee is even calling for Kim Nam-guk's resignation from the National Assembly. What is Representative Lee Jae-myung's stance on this?"
