Yeonggwang-gun Promotes 'Namdo Accommodation Discount BIG Event Project'

Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do is recruiting ‘designated accommodations’ to promote the ‘Namdo Accommodation Discount BIG Event’ project, which offers accommodation fee discounts to attract tourists and lodging guests residing outside of Jeollanam-do and Gwangju.

According to the county on the 12th, this project provides differential support for accommodation fees when tourists with addresses outside Jeollanam-do and Gwangju Metropolitan City use lodging facilities located in Yeonggwang-gun.

For one night, if the accommodation fee is ▲100,000 KRW or more, 40,000 KRW will be supported; ▲less than 100,000 KRW but 70,000 KRW or more, 30,000 KRW; ▲less than 70,000 KRW, 20,000 KRW will be supported.

The application period is from the 15th to the 31st until 6 PM, and applications can be submitted by visiting the Cultural Tourism Division of the county office or via registered mail.

The required documents include an application form, accommodation fee public price table, and six other documents. For detailed information, inquiries can be made to the Cultural Tourism Division of the county office.

Results of the selection will be notified individually. Businesses that have received administrative sanctions such as suspension of business (including fines) within the last two years, operators with overdue national taxes, local taxes, or non-tax revenues, or those with incomplete submitted documents may be excluded from selection.

A county official stated, “The Namdo Accommodation Discount BIG Event project is implemented to encourage visits to the county and Jeollanam-do by residents outside the province in the second year of the 2023 Jeonnam Visit Year. Selected designated accommodations will receive benefits such as online and offline promotion through the county office website and SNS, as well as support for various promotional materials. We ask for active participation from local lodging businesses.”
