A man in his 70s is under police investigation for handing out business cards with the message "If you contact me, I will repay you" to female middle school students in front of a middle school in Jungnang-gu, Seoul.
According to the Seoul Jungnang Police Station on the 12th, a man in his 70s, Han, was questioned by the police the day before on suspicion of giving business cards containing his name and phone number to female students in front of a middle school and an apartment in Sinnae-dong, Jungnang-gu, Seoul, on the 4th and 8th of this month (suspected of abducting and luring minors), Yonhap News reported.

Posts expressing anxiety about Han flooded the online community of a nearby apartment complex. Under the title "Please advise children not to accept business cards in front of OO Middle School and OO Elementary School," a post stated, "Today, I heard an absolutely shocking story.
Why would someone hand out such business cards to girls? What is the intention behind this?" As this post was shared, reports of "There are already several victims" followed. It was said, "He approached and stared at young children in the playground, and told female middle school students things that cannot be repeated, such as ‘My wife died, so I am lonely. Can we meet?’"
The police responded to a report that "a grandfather with dementia is handing out business cards" and contacted Han by phone. The police then brought Han to the Jungnang Police Station from the Bonghwa Police Substation on a voluntary basis.

A similar incident occurred in March last year in Dalseo-gu, Daegu. A 59-year-old man parked a truck with a banner saying "Looking for female students to bear children" in front of girls’ high and middle schools.
The banner read, "Students who hate studying because their views differ from the world, come to this vehicle," and "Looking for women aged 13 to 20 willing to bear children and take care of a rough 60-year-old grandfather (Halabe) living alone."
