Pyeongtaek Port Promotional Guide Boat to Operate from the 16th
The Pyeongtaek Port Harbor Guide Ship, which allows observation of Pyeongtaek Port?the only international trade port in Gyeonggi Province?from the sea, will begin operation on the 16th.
The Pyeongtaek Port Harbor Guide Ship was introduced in 2002 as a promotional guide ship to attract investors to Pyeongtaek Port and to promote the port to the general public.
Gyeonggi Province supports the project funding, and the Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Corporation operates the ship under commission.
Despite difficult conditions such as COVID-19 last year, the ship operated 74 times.
The Pyeongtaek Port Harbor Guide Ship operates for about 60 minutes over approximately 12 km, allowing observation from the sea of the Pyeongtaek Port automobile terminal, which handles 1.64 million vehicles annually for export and import, the Seohae Bridge, container transport, and more.
The 40-ton harbor guide ship can accommodate up to 35 passengers and will operate twice daily from Tuesday to Saturday this year.
Reservations can be made at least 5 days before the boarding date by phone (031-682-5663) or email (hahayeji@gppc.or.kr) to the Pyeongtaek Port Corporation. Operation is possible with a minimum of 10 applicants.

Ko Byung-su, Director of the Logistics and Ports Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "We plan to actively operate the harbor guide ship, which had reduced operations due to COVID-19, to revitalize Pyeongtaek Port. In particular, we will provide many opportunities to experience various port facilities of Pyeongtaek Port, such as the Pyeongtaek Port Promotion Center and Marine Center, in connection with the guide ship."
