A man in his 20s dies in Jinju factory entrapment accident... Investigation into whether it is a serious industrial accident underway
A worker in his 20s died in a crushing accident at a factory in Jinju, Gyeongnam, prompting the Ministry of Employment and Labor to investigate whether there was a violation of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act.
According to the Jinju Police Station on the 11th, Mr. A suffered an accident around 5:08 p.m. on the 6th while removing debris from a paper coating machine at the Murim Paper paper processing factory, where part of his body was caught in the operating machine.
He was transferred to a university hospital for treatment but passed away on the afternoon of the 10th.
The workplace where the accident occurred has more than 50 regular employees, making it subject to the Serious Accidents Punishment Act.
The Ministry of Employment and Labor confirmed the accident details and halted the work.
