Gwangju Seo-gu Council Enters Temporary Session... Reviews Over 20 Ordinance Proposals
The Seo-gu Council of Gwangju Metropolitan City convened the 311th extraordinary session in the main assembly hall on the 9th.
This session will be held for nine days from today until the 17th, with scheduled activities including 5-minute free speeches, the review of about 20 ordinance proposals, and the examination of the first supplementary budget revenue and expenditure plan.
Chairperson Ko Kyung-ae stated, "This 311th extraordinary session includes the review of the first supplementary budget of the year. We will carefully scrutinize the budget to ensure it is appropriately reflected and strive to use it correctly for the residents of the district."
Meanwhile, on the afternoon of the opening day, the Seo-gu Council invited an external instructor to conduct violence prevention training for council members and staff in the main assembly hall.
This training aims to prevent sexual harassment and sexual violence within the organization and improve organizational culture. Through the education, participants will learn about recent issues such as sexual harassment and stalking crimes, with the goal of strengthening proactive violence prevention and response capabilities.
