'DTx·Jeonjeyak, How Far Have They Come?' Pharmaceutical Bio Healthcare Alliance Holds 2nd Forum
A forum will be held to share the latest industry trends and issues in digital healthcare, including digital therapeutics (DTx) and electronic medicine.
The Korea Pharmaceutical Bio Healthcare Federation announced on the 4th that it will hold the 2nd forum on the morning of the 11th at the National Assembly Library Auditorium in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, together with Han Jeong-ae of the Democratic Party of Korea and Kang Ki-yoon of the People Power Party, both members of the National Assembly Health and Welfare Committee. According to the principle of rotating hosting among participating organizations, the Korea Smart Healthcare Association will host the 2nd forum and plans to diagnose the latest industry trends and related regulations on electronic medicine and DTx.
The forum will consist of keynote presentations including ▲Professor Kim Cheol of the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) on "The Present and Future of Electronic Medicine in the Pharmaceutical Powerhouse Korea," ▲Professor Lee Sang-gyu of Yonsei University on "Strategies to Secure Global Competitiveness in DTx," and ▲Kang Young-gyu, Director of the Digital Health Regulatory Support Division at the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, on "Regulatory Support Measures for Digital Healthcare," followed by a Q&A session chaired by Son Young-min, Director of the Smart Healthcare Research Institute at Samsung Medical Center's Future Medicine Research Institute.
The Korea Smart Healthcare Association stated, “We share the government’s will that bio-health should secure the global market based on digital technology,” and added, “This forum is structured to first address technical topics related to electronic medicine and DTx, then outline the direction of regulatory support.”

The Korea Pharmaceutical Bio Healthcare Federation was launched in January by six organizations including the Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association, Korea Smart Healthcare Association, Korea Bio-Pharmaceuticals Association, Korea Pharmaceutical Traders Association, Korea New Drug Development Association, and Advanced Regenerative Medicine Industry Association. Previously, in March, the federation held the 1st forum diagnosing the latest trends in pharmaceuticals and bio, such as digital transformation and convergence.
