Lim Soo-seok, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said at a regular briefing that in response to questions about the traveler, "As soon as we became aware of the unfortunate incident that occurred in the Philippines, we promptly requested a search from the local coast guard and provided necessary consular assistance to the bereaved family."
