Considering the characteristics of milk cartons, which are difficult to emboss with braille due to concerns about damage or content spoilage, the introduced notch marking is designed by cutting a semicircle on one side of the top of the product so that visually impaired people can identify it by touch.
The notch method, which involves engraving a U-shaped mark on white milk products, is a labeling method already implemented overseas. It helps visually impaired consumers avoid confusion with processed milk, alcohol, detergents, and other products sold in similar-shaped cartons.
In particular, young visually impaired consumers who could suffer serious health effects if they ingest caffeine, alcohol, or detergents can easily distinguish the product by touching the top of the package with their fingertips.
