HMM, User Convenience Improvement Website Renewal
HMM announced on the 4th that it has renewed its website in line with the digitalization era of the shipping industry.
The newly launched HMM website emphasizes ESG management implemented company-wide while focusing on enhancing convenience for users such as shippers. The newly established ESG menu clearly reflects HMM's commitment. Actively strengthening eco-friendly competitiveness through setting carbon emission targets, ordering eco-friendly vessels, and expanding research and development, HMM explains not only the status of carbon emission reduction but also environment, safety and health, human rights, and ethical management in an easy-to-understand manner within the ESG menu.
While providing professional information, the content has been reorganized so that the general public can easily understand the shipping industry, thereby reinforcing the identity of the shipping company. In particular, a wide video of HMM’s ultra-large container ship against the backdrop of the blue sea is placed on the main screen to intuitively convey the image of a global deep-sea container shipping company.
The basics of improving user convenience were also faithfully observed. Technologies to respond to increasingly diverse access environments were applied, and the menu was simplified so that users can intuitively find the information they want.
Additionally, the e-Service function has been further enhanced to improve convenience for shippers who frequently use the website. The newly applied Step by step reservation system requests important information from shippers first. It verifies the content in real time during the information input process and immediately notifies users of any errors. The settlement system has also been greatly improved. Information on settlements can be entered in real time and linked to internal systems, enabling faster processing. Especially in the Americas region, reservations through e-Service as well as online payment can now be completed in one go.
