Daegu Superintendent of Education Kang Eun-hee "Leading the Spread of an Honest Organizational Culture" ... Anti-Corruption Practice Resolution Meeting
On the 3rd at 10 a.m., the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education held an anti-corruption and integrity practice pledge rally and a special lecture on the Superintendent's Code of Conduct at the Happiness Hall of the Education Office, attended by Superintendent Kang Eun-hee and over 500 staff members.
This event was organized to publicly and internally announce the Superintendent's strong commitment to anti-corruption and integrity by involving everyone from the Superintendent to all affiliated staff, and to foster a culture of integrity through compliance with the code of conduct and prevention of power abuse.

View original imageAt the pledge rally, the Education Office staff pledged to lead the creation of a trustworthy and clean culture by performing duties according to laws and principles, handling tasks fairly, prohibiting acceptance of money and entertainment, solicitation and recommendation, abuse of authority, involvement in vested interests, and power harassment, and by complying with the public officials' code of conduct. A newly appointed public official delivered the pledge statement to the Superintendent on behalf of the staff.
Following the pledge rally, the Superintendent's special lecture on the code of conduct covered topics such as the relationship between the code of conduct and related laws (including the Anti-Graft Act and Conflict of Interest Prevention Act), understanding the thoughts and behaviors of future generations to resolve potential conflicts while living together (understanding the 2022 revised curriculum and IB curriculum), procedures for reporting and handling power harassment cases, court rulings on power harassment, and the direction the Education Office's organizational culture should take.
