Ahn Cheol-soo: "Science and Technology Bring Peace... G5 Is Not a Distant Future If Korea-US Exchange Happens"
"Successful Alliances Depend on Us"
Criticizing the Democratic Party for "Prioritizing Partisan Interests Over National Interests"
People Power Party lawmaker Ahn Cheol-soo evaluated the Korea-US summit as a "new beginning of the Korea-US alliance." He also argued that the Korea-US alliance should be upgraded beyond a security alliance to an "advanced technology alliance."
On the 3rd, Ahn stated on his Facebook, "This summit is, in a word, a new beginning of an upgraded Korea-US alliance," adding, "Whether the successful alliance, called a 'blood alliance,' can be recorded as an even more successful alliance in the future now depends on us."

Ahn also emphasized the "advanced technology alliance." He said, "It should expand to semiconductors, batteries, artificial intelligence (AI), quantum technology, small modular reactors (SMR), aerospace, and clean hydrogen, enabling substantial scientific and technological exchanges," adding, "If this happens, the Korea-US alliance can become the optimal partner surpassing the traditional US-UK and US-Japan alliances. 'Beyond G8 to G5' will not be a distant future."
Ahn further stated, "We must recognize that the stronger the Korea-US alliance becomes, the stronger our ability to respond to and influence China, Russia, North Korea, and Japan," and said, "Science and technology are peace, and the economy is peace."
He also explained, "For the decision to upgrade the Korea-US alliance to the best security alliance, industrial alliance, science and technology alliance, cultural alliance, and information alliance not to be shaken, the full support of the people is absolutely essential," adding, "This is the reason why we must achieve a landslide victory in the general election."
