Marking the first mask-free spring in four years, this public exhibition featuring Bellygom, which has a fandom of 1.45 million, is part of a public display at a Seoul landmark. Lotte Homeshopping planned the Dongdaemun exhibition this month following last month's events in Jamsil and Gwanghwamun to decorate Seoul's spring as a splendid festival and deliver dreams and hope to citizens. This event is also part of a business agreement signed in February with the Seoul Design Foundation to foster the design industry using the Bellygom intellectual property (IP).
The exhibition is inspired by "Alice in Wonderland" and expresses events occurring in the DDP forest through Bellygom sculptures transformed into surprising forms. At key locations within DDP such as the D-Forest and the cave stairs, 6-meter-tall Bellygom sculptures transformed into forest spirits, fairies, squirrels, trees, and more are displayed. Visitors can also find Bellygom goods created by emerging designers, including crayons, upcycled pouches, and eco-friendly toothbrushes utilizing the Bellygom IP. Products selected for outstanding design will be officially sold through the Bellygom official online store and pop-up stores. An event offering Bellygom balloons with goods purchases is also underway. Various activities such as photo zones and Bellygom glass cup making are prepared.
