LabGenomics Acquires Stake in Singapore DTC Genetic Testing Company
LabGenomics announced on the 2nd that it will acquire 464,708 shares of GENOSCAPE PTE. LTD., a DTC genetic testing company based in Singapore.
The acquisition amount is KRW 1,024,464,057, and the shareholding ratio after acquisition will be 30.1%.

The purpose of the acquisition is to acquire a 30% stake in GENOSCAPE, an overseas subsidiary of Humanscape, a medical platform operator including the pregnancy and childcare app Mamytalk, which has the largest number of domestic maternal users. It was also stated that the acquisition aims to expand overseas business through comprehensive cooperation in genomic molecular diagnostics services, DTC (Direct-to-Customer) genetic analysis, joint development of biomarkers, and Next Generation Sequencing.
