New COVID-19 Cases 13,596... Increase of About 1,900 Compared to Last Week (Update)
As the COVID-19 outbreak shows signs of a slight rebound, the number of new confirmed cases reached the 13,000 range on the 21st.
The Central Disease Control Headquarters reported that as of midnight on that day, the number of new COVID-19 confirmed cases increased by 13,596, bringing the total to 31,053,459.
The number of new confirmed cases decreased by 498 compared to the previous day (14,094). However, compared to a week ago on the 14th (11,666), it increased by 1,930.
The number of new confirmed cases has been increasing for eight consecutive days from the 14th to the current day.
Among the new confirmed cases, 21 were imported from overseas.
The number of critically ill patients currently hospitalized increased by 6 to 142 compared to the previous day.
